President's Message

Doing your part

I just wanted to take this opportunity to let you know that serving as your President this past year has meant a great deal to me. It will truly be a time in my life that I will never forget. During my tenure on the Board, I have had the opportunity to represent my District, I have met some very professional legal assistants from around the state, and I have formed some friendships that I hope will continue.

I would once again like to encourage you to volunteer a small amount of your time to the furtherance of this organization. The Board of Directors and Committee members work very hard to further the profession and to provide LAD members with wonderful benefits. However, all of this requires the time and effort of those people who volunteer their time and serve as a Sub-Committee Member, a Committee Chair, or even a District Director. Without them and their help, this organization cannot continue to grow and serve its members. I think that once you get involved, you will find it very fulfilling and rewarding.

LAD is a wonderful organization, and I will continue to support and volunteer my time where needed so that LAD can continue to support Texas legal assistants.
