editor’s Note

This will be my last issue as Editor of the Texas Paralegal Journal. I am resigning to work on other projects, but will work behind the scenes to continue to help the Publications Committee in any way I can. It has been a pleasure and an honor to work on this magazine and I will always be grateful for the support and assistance of the Publications Committee members and the board of directors of the Legal Assistants Division. While the job of Editor is often a solitary one, I have never felt alone and have always felt appreciated, even when I felt as though I didn’t deserve it.

I also wish to express my appreciation to Norma Hackler, without whom I probably would have lost my sanity many times, and to David Timmons, the man behind the scenes who does such a fine job, usually on short notice, and who always makes the TPJ (and its Editor!) look so good. Without both of those people, I could not have done this job at all.

Rhonda Brashears, Immediate Past President of the Division, will be taking over as Editor with the Spring 2004 issue. Please give her your support. I’m certain that she will do a fine job and that the magazine will continue to be something that our members find interesting and valuable and that the Division can be proud of.

It’s hard to believe that I took over as Editor in the year 2000. Time has gone by so quickly, but when you have unrelenting deadlines, it tends to do that. I have been pleased to serve you and I can only hope that the magazine reflected that. Have a safe and happy holiday season.
