Paralegal Division/Standing Rules

 

Renewing Active and Associate members must complete 6 hours of substantive Continuing Legal Education by May 31, 2012 to be eligible to renew for the 2012-2013 membership year. Substantive continuing legal education completed during any membership year in excess of the minimum six (6) hour requirement for such period may be applied to the following membership year’s requirement so long as the CLE was obtained in the membership year in which a person was an Active or Associate member. The carryover provision applies to one (1) year only. Members are allowed no more than two (2) hours of self-study, whether carried over from the previous year or completed during the membership year, in order to satisfy the minimum (6) hour requirement. 

 

Note:  Emeritus, Student, and Subscribing member status are exempt from this provision.
