The Paralegal Division developed the Profiling the Paralegal Profession video as a law office management seminar to educate the legal community about the proper use of a paralegal in the State of Texas.  The video features four members of the Paralegal Division who are all Texas Board of Legal Specialization Certified Paralegals in different areas of law.  

As a viewer, you will learn: 

  1. What is a paralegal;
  2. How to become a paralegal;
  3. Difference between a paralegal who has earned an educational certificate and a certification;
  4. Various certifications available to paralegals;
  5. Substantive job tasks that can be performed by a paralegal;
  6. Ethics of a paralegal; and
  7. Billable time for paralegals.
