Online CLE Copyright Agreement
The Paralegal Division appreciates the support of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) speakers for its Online CLE. Various topics are presented during the year through live webcasting of CLE, video taping of CLE presented to audiences, and CLE webinars. The Paralegal Division seeks speakers' permission to add the CLE topic to the Paralegal Division's Online CLE [hosted by InReach]. The form below must be completed and submitted by speakers whose Continuing Legal Education (CLE) presentations will be set up on the Paralegal Division's Online CLE for sale and marketed to the public. AUTHORITY TO REPRODUCE, SELL AND DISTRIBUTE
YOUR WRITTEN MATERIAL
The Paralegal Division of the State Bar has a copyright to the collected work in which your material will appear. You retain the individual copyright to your own material, allowing you to freely sell or otherwise distribute the material and revise or distribute the material at will. Submission of your material grants the Paralegal Division of the State Bar a non-exclusive license for the Division’s benefit to reproduce, sell and otherwise distribute all or portions of your material under your name, individually or as part of a collective and derivative works, on paper or through any other kind of media (including electronic) now known or that might be created.
YOUR ORAL PRESENTATION
You and the Paralegal Division of the State Bar have the same rights with respect to your oral presentation that you and the Paralegal Division of the State Bar have with respect to your written material. Your presentation may be video-taped and by your participation in the video-taped program, you authorize this media to be used by the Paralegal Division of the State Bar.
COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL OWNED BY THIRD PARTIES
Your use of copyrighted material is a representation by you to the Paralegal Division of the State Bar that you have obtained the rights necessary to such material for the benefit of the Paralegal Division of the State Bar with respect to the non-exclusive licenses described above.
