Dear TAPS Attendee:

The TAPS Planning Committee has worked very hard to make sure you have a great event!  We have a wonderful line-up of speakers planned, fantastic socials, a great vendor hall and lots of interaction and time with your colleagues. See our schedule of events in the speaker papers link.

Please read this e-blast thoroughly because it contains all the information you will need to prepare for your attendance at TAPS.

IMPORTANT Items below:

TAPS Conference App:  You will receive your invite to the TAPS App this week.  Our App this year is hosted by Whova, be watching for the email from Whova.  Connect with other attendees, view our speakers, the TAPS schedule, survey the sessions and the event, and find information about your favorite vendors.  We have some fun games again this year.  The Ice Breaker Game will go live shortly after the App goes live!  The ever-popular vendor hall card is being handled through the TAPS App!  THE ONLY WAY PARTICIPATE IN THIS GAME IS THROUGH THE APP!  To be eligible for one of four $500 Grand Prizes you will still need to visit EVERY exhibit hall booth.  During your visit at the vendor’s booth, they will scan the QR Code on your name badge.  This will automatically flag you has having visited that booth.  Each attendee will have an active profile in the TAPS App, make sure your profile is up to date.  Remember TAPS would not be possible without our TAPS Sponsors and Exhibitors!

We will have staff on-site during registration to assist with downloading the App if you are having problems.  Check out the App for all the conference details.

Presentation Papers and Documents – Please download the presentations HERE.  Check back often as outstanding papers will be loaded as they are received.  You can print for your use or download to your computer NOW.  Check back before the event for revised or additional materials.  You can also place the presentations in your own Dropbox folder to view on your tablet or handheld device (we would not recommend trying to access from this link at conference).

Vendor Hall – The vendor hall hours on Thursday are from 7:00 am to 1:30 pm.  Be sure to make your way through the vendor hall, visiting each vendor, and having your name badge scanned to be eligible for one of FOUR Grand Prize drawings.  We will have a cash concession in the vendor hall on Thursday where you can purchase a quick lunch and wrap up your vendor hall visits.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT EVENT “Set the TAPS Tempo on Opening Night”

The TAPS week begins with a networking meet and greet featuring your upbeat vendors who are ready to set the TAPS Tempo for the week.  Enjoy visiting with friends and mix it up with your vendors for door prizes while enjoying a few snacks and drinks. 

THURSDAY NIGHT EVENT “The Beat Goes On”

You must plan to attend this up-tempo evening of networking brought to you by Felix and Fingers in a dueling piano show-off.  Start planning your favorite tunes for special requests and warm up those vocal chords for a sing-along.  It is sure to be a high energy night of dinner, music, your vendor sponsors, and door prizes.  And do not forget to dress as your favorite musical artist and keep everyone tapping their toes for our costume contest!

TBLS HELPFUL HINTS LIVE

If a TBLS exam is in your future and you need some valuable information and hints, then you do not want to miss this special session of TBLS Helpful Hints Live.  You will hear from paralegals that are already certified, get an overview of the exclusive Paralegal Division TBLS Helpful Hints Guide, and share information with each other.  Molly Galvez from TBLS is part of this year’s session!

FRIDAY TAPS and Paralegal Division 44TH Annual Meeting Luncheon:  “The Encore”
The closing chord for this week is The Encore luncheon.  We wrap up TAPS with our annual Paralegal Division meeting and luncheon with our keynote speaker Honorable Adrian A. Spears II speaking on “Being the Best Paralegals in Your Role in the Judicial System.“  You will not want to miss the final note of TAPS for another great year of CLE!
