The TAPS Planning Committee has worked very hard to make sure you have a great event!  We have a wonderful line-up of speakers planned, fantastic socials, and don’t forget about time to see all your colleagues from around the state. See our schedule of events HERE.

Please read this e-blast thoroughly because it contains all the information you will need to prepare for your attendance at TAPS.

IMPORTANT Items below:

TAPS Conference App:  By Friday, September 23, 2022 you will receive an email invitation to the email address you provided upon registration from Crowd Compass with the App registration instructions.  Connect with other attendees, view a list of speakers, the TAPS schedule, survey the sessions and the event, and find information about your favorite vendors.  You will also need the TAPS App to participate in the always popular Click Game.  We will have staff on-site during registration to assist with downloading the App if you are having problems.  Check out the App for all the conference details.

Presentation Papers and Documents – Please download the presentations HERE.  You can print for your use or download to your computer NOW.  Check back before the event for revised or additional materials.  You can also place the presentations in your own Dropbox folder to view on your tablet or handheld device (we would not recommend trying to access from this link at conference).

Vendor Hall – The vendor hall hours on Thursday are from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm.  Be sure to make your way through the vendor hall, visiting each vendor, and getting your card signed to be eligible for one of three Grand Prize drawings.

Wednesday Night Social:  “TAPS Happy Hour” The Wednesday night’s networking social with our wonderful TAPS vendors will begin at 5:15 in the Magnolia Pre-Function area.  Be sure you have your Wednesday social armband for entry.  Mingle with your vendors while you enjoy light snacks and a cash bar.  Your vendors will be vital for door prizes for the evening so be sure to get to know them.  This will be a great kick off to TAPS!

Thursday Night Social:  “TIME to PLAY the TAPS FAMILY FEUD” The Thursday social will begin at 6:30 pm at the Ashton Depot located immediately behind the TAPS hotel at 1501 Jones Street (dinner around 7:15 pm).  Join fellow TAPS family members at the Ashton Depot for a rousing feud game while enjoying dinner.  As always, we will have some of our favorite sponsoring vendors joining in the fun.  Dress as your favorite game show host or game show participant for our annual costume contest.  You will not want to miss out since game prizes will be up for the winners! View the TAPS Sponsors who make this evening possible.

Friday Morning Special Session:  “Bonus Points”  Need an hour of ethics?  Then you will want to join in this bonus round of ethics and challenges.

Friday TAPS and Paralegal Division 41st Annual Meeting Luncheon:  “Own your choices:  Bold Choice Bold Rewards.  Perspectives from the bench”  Join us for the TAPS Final Event and the Paralegal Division’s 41st Annual Meeting.  We are honored to have Judge Ada Brown, United States District Court, Northern District of Texas – Dallas Division as our Key Note Speaker.

In September/October their needs would be ramping up for upcoming winter.  We will have a collection table at TAPS for onsite donations of the following items.

~ large blankets
~ sleeping bags
~ flashlights (year-round)
~ AAA batteries (year-round)
~ AA batteries (year-round)
~ new or used tennis shoes or boots (no heals or fancy shoes)
